Classic Sicilian frame drum, diameter 30 cm, with rattles composed of 7 natural tin plates, diameter 5 cm each. Beech wood frame colored chestnut. White natural kid leather tanned by hand. Representation made by Antonella Gentile and handmade with acrylic colors, treated with egg white.

The Tarantella is a typical Sicilian dance usually accompanied by the friscalettu, tambourine, maranzano and accordion. It is a dance probably originated in 1600 and became a symbol of southern Italy all over the world.
