The dancing satyr has been waiting for thousands of years, immersed in the sea of the Sicilian Channel, when caught still in the ecstasy of his dance,  is found, becoming the emblem of the beauty of the Mediterranean.

The Dancing Satyr is a wonderful bronze sculpture dating back to  around the third century BC, during the Siceliot domination. It is located in the homonymous museum in Mazara del Vallo, is two meters high and was found by chance by a fishing boat in 1997.
