The artwork in the Sicilian culture

By the Governance of Sicilian Artisan Foundation

The western coast of Sicily is characterized by a series of salt evaporation ponds which, especially in the past, gave work to many Sicilians. Famous are the ones between Trapani and Paceco. It is a magical place of great charm and poetry. The white hills of salt, the mills with their propellers, the tanks for the collection designed with the walls in the middle of the sea, the extraordinary presence of pink flamingos, the dwarf palm, the most beautiful sunsets in the world that are a rainbow of a thousand colors, and the island of Mozia founded by the Phoenicians, just in front, along with the other contiguous islands.
