Description by the artist

A simple and effective idea has characterized the genesis of Primavera (spring): prickly pears, the symbolic element of Sicilian iconography. The white background highlights the roundness of the various elements and in the upper part of the visual a cascade of prickly pears in shades of blue has been created, in order to offer the wearer the opportunity to take advantage of different chromaticity.

Prickly pears are one of the great symbols of Sicily. They grow everywhere: on the sides of cliffs, in gardens, on the roofs of abandoned houses, on the sides of roads … Prickly pears were imported by Arabs during their domination (IX-XI century).
