The artwork in the Sicilian culture

By the Governance of Sicilian Artisan Foundation

The sea, as much as the Sun, the Prickly pears, the Temples, Etna … is an eternal source of inspiration for all Sicilians. A Sicilian without the sea really feels like a fish out of water. The sea is wide horizons, sense of depth, openness … all things that a Sicilian carries inside and of which he cannot do without.

The Governance also suggests

The objective of the Governance is both to safeguard the traditions and ancient crafts of the people of Sicily, and to sustain economically the Artisans and the Artists, both the real ethno-anthropologists of the country.
