The artwork in the Sicilian culture
By the Governance of Sicilian Artisan Foundation
Lemons, oranges and citrus fruits in general, are one of the great symbols of Sicily. They were imported during the Arab domination (IX-XI century). It is practically impossible to visit Sicily, even for a couple of hours, without seeing at least one citrus tree. Beautiful the vase with the classic colors of Santo Stefano di Camastra, a village by the sea whose ceramic art is ancient and among the most appreciated in the world.
