Still life with lemons
Description by the artist
I never get tired of painting lemons, these freshly picked ones were donated to me by a dear friend who, knows of my passion. Even some leaves of American vine stolen on the street can become a source of inspiration for me.

The artwork in the Sicilian culture
By the Governance of Sicilian Artisan Foundation
Lemons, and citrus fruits in general, are one of the great symbols of Sicily. They were imported during the Arab domination (IX-XI century). With lemons Sicilians make, among thousand other things, the famous granita and the equally famous limoncello.it is practically impossible to visit Sicily, even for a couple of hours, without seeing at least one lemon tree.
