Description by the artist
Inspired by the beautiful creations of Fulco di Verdura, master jeweler of the early ‘900, where the creative art is enhanced in forms and combinations of absolute magnificence and precious. In Magnifico (wonderful) I have included art deco symbols and friezes of the Temple of Concord, balancing everything in a fresco … magnificent!

The artwork in the Sicilian culture
The artist was inspired by a famous Sicilian character of the 20th century: Duke Fulco di Verdura (1898-1978), a Sicilian nobleman who became famous for his worldliness but, above all, for his splendid line of jewelry worn by the major Hollywood actors of the time. He was inspired by his Sicily in his creations: the sea, the baroque, the memories of his childhood. His jewelry stores can be found in several American cities, including the historic store on Fifth Avenue in New York.
