Classic Sicilian frame drum, diameter 35 cm., with rattles composed of 7 plates in natural tin hammer-edged beaten.. Beechwood douglas colored frame. White natural kid leather tanned by hand. Representation realized by Seby Garofalo and hand made with charcoal and graphite, treated with egg white.

The mattanza (Almadabra) is the tuna fishing typical of Sicily of the past. Particularly bloody, consisted in caging the tuna in the so-called chambers of death and then kill them with harpoon shots.
