The artwork in the Sicilian culture

Grotta Bombarda (located in Marettimo) is located in the Egadi Islands, an archipelago about 7 km from Trapani, on the west coast of Sicily. They are a repository of beautiful landscapes (Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo) and history. Among the latter we remember Mozia (VIII B.C.), one of the three Phoenician strongholds together with Solunto and Palermo and today an entire archaeological site. The Egadi were the seats of many tuna fisheries and salt pans. We are in a Sicily with strong Arab-African contaminations. The houses are white, the cous-cous a typical dish.
