Description by the artist
In this work I was inspired by the beautiful horses that are festivily harnessed and that arouse so much fascination around the world, the borders of the horses are true works of art, tell of popular traditions of our Sicily.

The artwork in the Sicilian culture
By the Governance of Sicilian Artisan Foundation
This horse can only be Sicilian! It is typically dressed for a feast. It has the giummi (Sicilian for Pompon), it is very colorful, it also has the symbol of Sicily, the Trinacria (a female head from which three legs start and with hair made of ears of corn), on its head. It can also be seen a part of a Sicilian cart, another great symbol of Sicilian popular culture.
