Description by the artist
The red color acts as a carpet to an expanse of prickly pears, that decorate the bottom of the cookie jar, succulent fruit of the warm Sicilian land. Crowned by the typical Sicilian colors, the cookie jar shows on its belly, a glimpse of the sea landscape, where there is a lone boat. Image that is collected by a gaze, a figure that does not appear in the scene, but sits on his terrace in front of the sea, and on its table, the lemon, expression of the Sicilian.
