"Art as a synthesis of research and wonder."
Toni D’Antoni was born in Palermo in 1962. He developed a code of signs and figures that led him to create works in symbiosis with wood, sand, plaster, canvas and other poor materials. He exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and has participated in national and international art exhibitions in various Italian cities. His works are in public and private collections. He is listed in the main catalogs of modern and contemporary art and magazines.
“Sicily landing island in the middle of an ancient sea, destination of ships loaded with stories, cultures, traditions, religions. From the sea it is a land of encounter”
The opinion of the Governance
Toni D’Antoni is the artist with warm and soft colors. Although the materials of his works are poor: wood, sand, canvas and plaster, they have something regal and elegant. His slender and princely figures are surrounded by light blue and warm ochre. Images of a distant Sicily. Ancient stories of traditions and myths of the Mediterranean.
