“Art is simply what each of us gives with our hearts”
Giuseppina Sulli was born in Palazzo Adriano, a town in the province of Palermo. As a teenager she learned the art of embroidery by attending the workshops held by the nuns. Since then, with the use of the loom, Giuseppina has given life to precious creations in 18-karat gold wire. Among these, table cloths, paintings and wedding dresses that in their magnificence recall the typical female costume of Piana degli Albanesi.
“I am married and have four children. My second child is the little girl who stars in “Nuovo cinema paradiso”. I really like to do embroidery, also among my hobbies there is sewing“
The opinion of the Governance
“Describing Giuseppina Sulli’s embroideries is like commencing a journey into the past. Her expert hands create splendid embroideries with gold threads on sacred vestments, on the wedding dresses of Arbereshe women and on many furnishings for the home. Treasures of our Sicily”
