Self-taught, she paints using intense and bright colors on any suitable material, inspired by daylife and traditional scenes. After the classical paintings with oil, acrylic, watercolor and ink, exhibited in group and personal exhibitions, Elvira, driven by a continuous desire for research, has created works in “tracandis” and in ceramics. She has refined the ceramic techniques and the majolica on lava stone at the “School Museum of Maiolicata lava stone” in Nicolosi where her works are permanently exhibited.
