"Art is the passion to carry on traditions through innovation."
Carmelo Giuè was born in Marineo on January 31, 1969. In 1985 he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps in the family workshop where he initially built the common agricultural tools of the peasant tradition. In the following years he dedicated himself to the reproduction of these miniature tools, and finally decided to devote himself exclusively to the marranzano, a typical Sicilian musical instrument.
“Today I try to carry on the Sicilian socio-cultural traditions of the past through the Marranzano, refining more and more the characteristics and the working techniques to make the instrument more professional.”
