Alessandra Di Miceli
"Art showcases the content of the soul"

Alessandra Di Miceli was born in Canicattì (Ag) on January 5, 1957. At 13 she decided to devote herself to handicrafts and to improve her innate manual skills and give life in the best way to her ideas she enrolled in a class of cutting and sewing. For many years she dedicated herself to the realization of clothes designed by herself. Today she decides to return to her origins, dedicating herself once again to handicrafts and in particular to the realization of bags and accessories of various types, all inspired by her Sicilian origins.

“I love immensely all that my land can offer me, sun, sea, tradition, folklore, the warmth of the people, the vibrancy of its colors, the harmony of its landscapes. All elements that are a source of inspiration for many artists”

The opinion of the Governance

Each creative has been included by the Governance after careful evaluation of the Sicilian spirit of his creations

Alessandra Di Miceli masterfully innovates an object that is now an icon of Sicily: the “coffa bag”.

Always original and imaginative, with their mirrors, the “giummi”  (sicilian for tassel), the fringes, the moors and paladins, her creations of bags, jewelry and accessories are based on the roots of Sicilian folk art, and above all color, which is always warm and sunny like the land that inspires it.
